Antique Tekke Turkmen Ensi rug or carpet, near square form, wool on cotton. Traditional designs including four central panels bordered by chevron and diamond designs, and a lattice and diamond design elem panel to the base. Red primary field with secondary colors of blue, salmon, and cream. 4'' 5" x 4'' 1". Circa 1880''s.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Good condition with light even pile wear. Two postage stamp size repairs to the center field, approx. 5" separation to binding on the left margin. Homemade denim loops top verso for hanging.
