United States Mint 1988 Olympic coin proof set commemorating the Olympic games held in Seoul, South Korea. Consisting of $5 gold coin designed by Elizabeth Jones/Marcel Jovine depicting Nike, the goddess of Victory, and a $1 silver coin designed by Patricia Lewis Verani depicting the lighting of the Olympic torches. Both are housed in the original box with the original cardboard sleeve. The gold coin is 90% gold, measures 21.6mm, and weighs 8.3590 grams. The silver coin is 90% silver, measures 38.10mm, and weighs 0.859 troy ounces.
CONDITION: Both are in uncirculated pristine condition and retain the original box and sleeve.
