Three Grand Tour items, including desk items and a wax portrait. 1st item: Bronze inkwell, the cover topped with a figural bust of Homer after the sculpture by William Satchwell Leney (1769-1831), surrounded by books. 4 in. H x 3 1/2 in. W x 2 in. D. 2nd item: Paperweight with bronze figural bust of Dante Alighieri, mounted to a marble base. Unsigned. Overall: 3 1/2 in. H x 4 in. W x 3 in. D. 3rd item: Wax bust profile portrait of a gentleman, likely Ludwig van Beethoven. Housed in a velvet surround in a shadowbox frame with giltwood molding, 11 3/8 in. H x 10 in. W x 2 in. D. All items late 19th to early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Middle Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Inkwell: hairline to ceramic inkpot. Paperweight: Some scuffs and small minor edge chips to marble. Wax portrait: some discoloration to wax and wear to frame.
