Alabama signed benchmade miniature cherry four-drawer chest in the Sheraton style, yellow pine secondary. Slightly overhanging top with four graduated scratch beaded and dovetailed drawers, retaining the original brass hardware. Paneled sides and turned feet. Pencil inscribed on one drawer, “Builted (sic) by Greens Cabinet Shop, 605 West Clinton St, Huntsville, Ala, Oct. 4, 1940”. 21 3/4 in. H x 21 3/8 in. W x 10 3/4 in. D. Circa 1940.
PROVENANCE: Living Estate of Sally Johnson Harlan and by descent in her family. Other items from this family are also for sale in this auction.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with light general wear. Water/liquid spatter traces on the front of the case. Brasses with some oxidation.
