The upper dial marked "Le Roy & Fils. Palais Royal, Gallerie Montpensier 13-15 Paris & 211 Regent Street London". Works additionally marked LE ROY & FILS No. 7727 A PARIS. Calendar works additionally marked. Retains a winding key and pendulums. 17" H x 10 1/2" W x 6 1/4" D. Mid-19th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Sarah Gaunt, Signal Mountain, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. The clock-face glass door is not present and the clock-face cover present is not a fit for this case. Case with light wear with cornice and base replaced with ebonized wooden elements. Upper case glass door with fracture. Retains a winding key and pendulums. Not tested for functionality.
