King George II-era indenture quadripartite document on vellum, signed February 13, 1739 and duty-stamped 1740. The document is scalloped on top and conveys land to heirs according to a will and testament. Signed and sealed with red wax by four signatories, who would have each received their own scalloped and sealed copies. Double-sided frame has cut-outs en verso to display additional details of the parties, including the signature of Sir William Humble (d. 1742), Fifth Baronet of London. Sight: 25 in. H x 34 1/2 W. CONDITION: Overall good condition, with minor soiling and staining throughout.
