Canvasback Drake carved and painted duck decoy, attributed to John English (Florence, NJ, 1848-1915). Copper tag to underside reads W. APPLETON / BRISTOL PA." 5 3/4" H x 13 1/2" W x 5" D. Likely late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Wear consistent with age and use, including scattered losses to paint and wood shrinkage.
