A collection of ten (10) Bilston and Battersea enamel snuff boxes and patch boxes, of various shapes and designs. Sizes range from 3/4 in to 2 in. wide. English, late 18th to mid 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville collection.
CONDITION: Most items in very good condition with light wear and occasional tiny chip around metal mounts/hinges. Three boxes have more notable issues including fine cracks and larger chips, including the “Sarah Emma Haughton” box, the cartouche shaped box with ship scene and green base, and the “A Present from Leominsten” box, which also has repairs.
