Viennese Austrian enamel jewelry box, chest or casket with gilded metal mounts. The ebonized wooden case is fitted with gilded mounts including a knight or gladiator on horseback finial, and with hand painted enamel plaques depicting classical mythological and courting scenes. Two central doors open to two small drawers fitted with enamel plaques depicting landscapes. Molded base on four ball feet. 5 1/4 in. H x 4 in. W x 3 1/8 in. D. Late 19th to early 20th century.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Repair/regluing to one side at wood joint between side and base. Some slight wear to gilding.
