Neoclassical style satinwood knife box, urn form with vertical bands of inlay, resting on a turned pedestal base. Acorn finial atop a cover lifting to reveal a fitted interior. 26 in. H x approx. 10 in. D. English, late 19th to early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Dr. Ian M. Mathison, Murfreesboro TN and Big Rapids, MI.
CONDITION: Overall good condition. Some inlay bands have been repaired or replaced. Hairline cracks to base.
