Grand Tour Sienna yellow marble pedestal bowl in Neoclassical style, with square molded edge and fluted, scalloped well, over a fluted and scalloped standard on a square base. Made in two sections for ease of moving. 10 1/2 in. W x 10 1/2 in. D x 8 1/2 in. H. Italian, Late 19th or early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Dr. Michael Spalding, Nashville, TN. Purchased Sotheby’s, Lot 98, Oct. 8, 2015. The receipt is available to the winning bidder.
CONDITION: Scattered tight cracks and several repairs to old cracks and chips, including to the center well and pedestal.
