Lot 264: 3 Antique Tekke Turkmen Rugs, incl. Chuval

Three (3) Antique Tekke Turkmen rugs, including 2 Chuvals, all wool on wool construction. All with traditional gul designs to the centers and lower decorated elem panels, and all woven in red, blue, and cream colors. Ranging in size from 3 ft. 11 in. x 2 ft. 4 in. to 4 ft. 8 in. x 2 ft. 8 in. All the last quarter of the 19th century.

PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.

CONDITION: 1st rug: Wear to margins, losses to fringe. 2nd rug: Overall good condition, minor pile wear to the center. 3rd rug: Wear to margins, losses to fringe.
