Antique Tekke Turkmen main carpet, wool on wool, primary rust/red field with five (5) rows of ten (10) guls, within one primary border. Woven in red/rust, blue, and cream colors. 6 ft. 6 in. x 6 ft. 4 in. Fourth quarter of the 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with losses to fringed ends and overall general pile wear. A couple of small punctures, one patch repair, and one hole repair.
