Large European, possibly Austrian, figural bronze inkstand, depicting a bird of prey with outstretched wings atop a rocky crag with integrated inkwell and stand for other desk items. Inkwell fitted with a porcelain liner. Together with a matching blotter with bird of prey figural handle to the top. Both items are unmarked. Inkstand: 6 3/4" H x 11" W x 6 3/4" D. Blotter: 3 3/4" H x 7" W x 3 1/2" W. Both pieces 19th century.
CONDITION: Both items overall very good condition with light wear to surfaces. Porcelain insert with small hairlines to inner base, 1/2" dia. area.
