Two (2) East Tennessee, Blount County salt-glazed one-gallon stoneware pottery preserving jars marked for Grindstaff Pottery (1870 – 1890). First jar is straight wall, stamped “1” and “Grindstaff”. 8 3/4 in. H. Second jar with the same typeset stamped “1” and four incised lines under rim. 8 in. H.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Marty and David Black, Rockford, TN.
CONDITION: 1st jar very good condition. 2nd jar with chip to inner rim, otherwise overall good condition.
