American or European carved mahogany wall shelf or sconce consisting of a shaped shelf with carved border and carved drops to the underside, above a Federal eagle with outstretched wings above a foliate terminus, with rococo elements throughout. 12 1/2 in. H x 18 3/4 in. W x 9 1/4 in. D. 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Mr. and Mrs. David Allen, Springfield, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Some wear and minor losses to the top and top edges. Expected minor wear and light abrasions to the base. Drilled hole to base likely added later.
