Two (2) Piedmont North Carolina salt-glazed stoneware pottery jugs stamped W. H. HANCOCK for William Henry Hancock (Moore County, 1845-1924). 1st item: jug with a pulled handle applied to the side of the neck and upper shoulder, stamped W. H. HANCOCK on the upper shoulder to the right of the handle. 8 1/2" H. 2nd item: jug with a pulled handle applied to the side of the neck, coggle decoration around the upper shoulder, stamped W. H. HANCOCK to the right of the handle, with salt glaze drips, including one accenting the stamp. 8" H. Last quarter 19th century.
CONDITION: 1st item: Minor scattered fleabites to the rim and kiln marks to upper shoulder. 2nd Item: Old restoration of the rim, otherwise very good condition.
