Albrecht Durer (German, 1471-1528) woodcut on laid paper, “Christ Taking Leave from his Mother,” from the Small Passion series, 1511 Latin text edition. With Graf Yorck von Wartenburg (1805-1865) (Lugt 2669) and Dr. Albert Blum (1882-1952) (Lugt 79b) stamped collector’s marks to verso along with numbering in pencil. Ref.: Bartsch 92, Meder 204. Floated under glass in a giltwood frame with black textile mat and gilt fillet. Sheet: 5 in. H x 3 7/8 in. W. Framed: 21 1/2 in. H x 21 1/2 in. W. 1509-11.

CONDITION: A richly and evenly inked impression with strong contrasts. With thread to narrow margins, border line is preserved. Foxing throughout, especially to uninked areas. Mounted with archival tape affixed to upper edge en verso.
