Rembrandt van Rijn (Dutch, 1606-1669) etching on Ingres d’Arches laid paper, “The Kolf Player.” A man rests in shadow indoors while others, outside, play the sport of kolf. Signed and dated in plate, lower left. From the Millennium edition of 2500 co-printed by Emiliano Sorini and Marjorie Van Dyke from Rembrandt’s original plate. Housed under acrylic in a giltwood frame with cream double-mat and black reveals. Sight: 6 in. H x 8 in. W. Framed: 24 3/4 in. H x 25 1/4 in. W. 1654, printed 1995.
