Antique Yomud or Yomut Turkmen Ensi tribal rug, wool on wool, central cruciform design with four panels having geometric designs, within four primary borders, wide elem panels to each end with radiating diamond designs. Woven in red, blue, and cream colors. 5 ft. 8 in. x 4 ft. 4 in. Circa 1870.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Overall good condition, losses to fringed ends, overall even pile wear.
