Two wooden duck decoys, Herters 1893 Series Merganser and Eider, Waseca, Minnesota. Retains red glass eyes, original paint, and hot-branded marks underside. Red billed Merganser has traces of green paint on the head, and hand-painted details on the bill, wings, and tail. 20 in. L x 6 1/2 in W x 6 1/2 H. Eider decoy has blue bill and factory paint on head, wings, and tail. 18 in. L x 7 in. W x 7 in. H. 1970s, or earlier.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of George Bradley, Lewisburg, TN.
CONDITION: Overall signs of use, dirt, and paint loss. Age cracks are present and have been stabilized with glue in places. Removable heads have been glued to bodies.
