Lot 1003: 2 Fumio Fujita Abstract Woodblock Prints

Two (2) Fumio Fujita (Japan, b. 1933) abstract sosaku hanga color woodblock prints. Item 1: Woodblock print with organic forms set against a yellow field, with maroon elements to either side. Signed, dated 1964, and numbered 98/100 in pencil, lower right. Sight: 17 in H x 11 1/4 in W. Frame: 18 1/8 in H x 12 3/4 in W.  Item 2: Woodblock print with geometric forms set against a blue field. Signed, dated 1970, and numbered 9/200 in pencil, lower right. Sight: 16 in H x 12 in W. Frame: 18 in H x 13 7/8 in W. Both housed under glass in gilt and painted wood frames.

PROVENANCE: Private Nashville collection. 

CONDITION: Both with toning to sheets. Not examined out of frames. Frames with minor abrasions.
