Large Chinese or Tibetan painted and polychrome wooden Buddha figure, seated in a double lotus position with hands in dharma chakra mudra. 28" H x 23" W x 19" D. Qing Period, 19th Century or earlier.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Allison and John Beasley, Nashville, TN.
CONDITION: Remnants of paint throughout. Losses to some carved elements including tips of both thumbs and one knee. Several significant shrinkage cracks throughout including to head, shoulder, waist and arm on one side, as well as to arm and hand on other side.
