Antique Ersari Chuval Turkestan carpet or rug, wool on wool with three central medallions flanked by radiating zigzag lines within two primary borders containing geometric and flower designs. Brick red primary field with secondary colors of blue, cream, and salmon. 5'' 3" x 3'' 6". Circa 1875.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa estate.
CONDITION: Some fraying to the upper border, scattered light wear to the right margin, some pile wear/ losses to the center, and losses to the fringe and lower right corner.
