Surrealist acrylic on canvas painting depicting an artist before a canvas with a paintbrush in one hand; another figure in 17th-century Dutch garb appears in his painting along with a blue planet or other celestial body; all rendered in an unusual technique with paint applied in a variety of textures. Illegibly and faintly signed lower right, and inscribed en verso “Moon Series Young Dutchman Painting Liquetex” and “Daisy Chain”. Wide paneled giltwood frame. Sight: 39 in H x 34 in W. Frame: 47 in H x 42 in W.

CONDITION: Some areas of light grime, lower left quadrant; Frame has some wear and losses along sight edge.
