Two (2) Tom Sander (Montana, b. 1938) wildlife paintings depicting woodland creatures. 1st item: Oil on board landscape painting depicting a stag at the edge of a still pond in an autumnal forest looking towards the bare trees on the opposite bank. Signed "T. Sander" lower right. Housed in a molded giltwood frame with acanthus leaves to corners. Sight: 7 3/8" H x 9 1/2" W. Framed: 12 1/4" H x 14 1/4" W. 2nd item: Watercolor, gouache, and pastel on paper painting depicting a racoon nestled within the underbrush of a winter forest upon a patch of clear ground surrounded by snow. Signed "T. Sander" lower left. Housed under glass in a molded giltwood frame with rose garlands to corners. Sight: 7 3/4" H x 9 1/2" W. Framed: 10 5/8" H x 12 3/4" W.
PROVENANCE: Property from the Collection of Jo Ann Cline Yates, Lookout Mountain Tennessee.
CONDITION: Both items in overall excellent condition. Frames with minor scattered wear. 2nd item: Not examined outside of frame.
