Tom Huck (American/Missouri, b. 1971) woodcut, “Pork Chop Suey: Oinktoberfest,” 2007. Various figures, some seated at picnic tables, torture and consume meat products (including police officers) in a busy scene, with a central tree that partially bisects the composition. Signed, titled, dated, and numbered 14/20 in pencil, lower margin. Floated under plexiglass in a modern wood frame. Sheet: 51 in H x 38 1/2 in W. Frame: 56 in H x 43 1/4 in W. Note: another example of this print, demonstrating the dark satire and technical craftsmanship for which Huck is best known, is in the St. Louis Art Museum.
PROVENANCE: The estates of Walter and Dr. Mary Schatz, Nashville.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Slight waviness to sheet. Not examined outside of frame.
