Grouping of five (5) Christmas cards designed by the artist Athos Menaboni (Italy/Georgia, 1895-1990) for the Coca-Cola executive Robert W. Woodruff, includes 1942, 1949, 1954, 1956, and 1968. Each card represents a bird found at Robert W. Woodruff’s Ichauway Plantation. 9 in. H x 6 1/4 in. W. Note: Every year, beginning in 1941 and through 1984, Menaboni painted a bird that could be found at Wooduff’s Georgia plantation, Ichauway, or his ranch in Wyoming. PROVENANCE: Acquired at an estate sale in Georgia.
CONDITION: All cards with very light wear to the top margin. the 1956 card with slight bending to the upper 2 corners. The 1968 card with red marker inscription to the back.
