Grouping the three (3) European decorative items. 1st item: French Chinoiserie decorated Louis XV style lacquer inkstand, consisting of a lacquer stand having two urn style inkwells with landscape decoration fitted with gilt broze Louis XV style mounts. 4 3/4" H x 13 1/4" W x 9" D. Late 19th century. 2nd item: European, likely English, mother-of-pearl and papier mache tea caddy having a hinged inlaid domed top opening to reveal two covered compartments, gilt painted highlights throughout. 4 1/8" H x 6 1/2" W x 4 1/2" D. 19th century. 3rd item: Italian gilt carved rococo style wall holy water font. 17" H x 11 1/4" W. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Margaret Harold Roberts, Lookout Mountain, Georgia.
CONDITION: 1st item: Scattered pitting and a few areas of minute losses to left side of lacquered surface. One inkwell missing cap. 2nd item: Some scattered light wear including losses to gilt decoration, surface scratches, and light craquelure along base edge. 3rd item: Old repaired break to right arm of cherub, possible repairs or repainting to water font.
