Three (3) Elvin King (American/Tennessee, 20th century) carved folk art sculptures in the form of animals including a standing rabbit, a duck, and a beaver, all with incised initials EK to the base. Ranging in size from 5 1/4 in. H x 15 1/2 in. L x 5 in. W to 18 in H x 8 1/2 in. W x 10 in. D. All circa 1980s. Note: Elvin King, a Tennessee artist, used a chainsaw to rough-carve his animal figures and sculptures before refining them through sanding.
PROVENANCE: The estates of Walter and Dr. Mary Schatz, Nashville.
CONDITION: The rabbit figure with some wear and loss to the edges of the ears, otherwise overall in good condition. Duck and beaver overall very good condition.
