Howard Finster (American/Alabama, 1916-2001) carved folk art sculpture titled “The Rump Stump Sitter”. Depicting a silhouette figure of a woman sitting on a stump with a “knot” in her tail, with a colorful story on the lower edge and base discussing her lazy nature. Signed and dated on the front “Howard Finster, from God, 3000 and 107 works of art, 1:5 past midnight, Oct-1983”. Additionally titled and signed en verso. 22 in. H x 8 5/8 in. W x 3 1/2 in. D.

CONDITION: Very light scatter scuffing to the front legs, overall very good condition.
