Flint, working Nashville, 1816-1823; 3 coin silver spoons marked “Merriman” in rectangle, attributed to James E. Merriman, working Memphis 1841-47 with Frederick H. Clark and from 1847-1860 and later on his own and in partnership with others; and 1 sterling spoon marked “W & H Sterling” for Wood & Hughes with Hope Brothers (Knoxville) retailer mark. Ranging in size from 7 1/4 in. L to 8 3/4 in. L. 10.59 total coin silver troy ounces. 1.50 sterling troy ounces.
CONDITION: Richmond & Flint spoons with losses to tips and with monograms. Merriman spoons with moderate losses to tips and pitting. Hope Brothers retailed spoon in overall good condition and monogrammed.
