12 gauge Belgian double barrel breech-loading percussion shotgun, marked "T. Barker" on right side, a US retailer. Carved diamond-checkered forestock and wrist with additional decorative fluting with inlaid center circles; engraved hammer, barrel flat, lock plate, and trigger guard. "Belgium Royal Damascus" engraved on barrel flat, alongside "Choke Bored" on left barrel. Walnut stock, bead sights. Overall 46 1/2" L; Barrel 30" L. Ca. Late 19th Century. Note: Antique firearms were not built for use with modern ammunition and should be considered as display only.
CONDITION: Discoloration to some metal components. Hammers set and lock but are stiff; triggers working; dirty bore. Break lever operates smoothly, as do extractors on breaking.
