Canada goose decoy, painted canvas over wire construction. Possibly Manie Haywood or Marvin Midgett, Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Stamped to underside "Collection of / T. O''Connor III / Suffolk Virginia." 10" H x 25 1/2" W x 9" D. Likely second quarter 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Knoxville, Tennessee collection.
CONDITION: Good condition with wear commensurate with age and use, including scattered paint loss and wood shrinkage. Minor 3/4" tear to canvas at base of tail and 1/2" tear on back between ribs.
