Biography: Nashville native Michael Shane Neal is known for his portraits of a number of high profile American subjects including U.S. Senators and Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O''Connor. He is a protege of the presidential portraitist Everett Raymond Kinstler. Neal received his B. A. from David Lipscomb University and also studied at the Santa Fe Institute of Fine Arts, The Scottsdale Artist School, and the Lyme Academy of Art. He is an exhibiting member of the National Arts Club of New York City, the Allied Artists of America, and the Portrait Society of America.
