Sullivan County, Tennessee lead glazed redware jug attributed to the Cain Pottery. Jug features tapered rim, extruded handle, incised rig decoration, and beaded foot. Glaze with general cracklure. 7 3/4" H. Late 19th Century. Provenance: Jug discovered in Bristol, Tennessee and featured in the Tennessee Historical Society 2011 exhibition "Tennessee Turned: Earthenware and Stoneware Made in East Tennessee 1800-1900." Condition: Overall very good condition
