A grouping of eight (8) early Knoxville, Tennessee silver flatware pieces, fiddle tipt pattern, including: 2 coin tablespoons, 4 sterling teaspoons, and 1 sterling cream ladle, all marked on “Hope and Miller” for John and David James Hope and Fred Miller (working in Knoxville, circa 1870). The 2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons are additionally marked “W & H” for Wood and Hughes, New York, and together with a coin silver master butter knife marked HOPE in a rectangle for David Large Hope (working Knoxville, TN, 1828-1869). Ranging in size from 5 1/4 in. L to 8 1/8 in. L. 2.77 total sterling troy ounces. 4.60 total coin silver troy ounces.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Marty and David Black, Rockford, TN.
CONDITION: All pieces are in overall good condition with light wear. Two teaspoons with very slight pitting. All pieces with a script monogram or name.
