Scarce Nashville, Tennessee coin silver julep cup or beaker, stamped CAMPBELL & DONIGAN in rectangle plus two elephant hallmarks for the short-lived partnership of John Campbell and George Washington Donigan, working together at the corner of College and Union Street from 1853-1855. Tapering round cup with reeded rim and foot, with engraved script hallmark “B”. 3 3/8 in. H. 3.76 oz troy.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Hank and Mary Brockman.
CONDITION: Possible old repair at top 3/4 inch of seam. Scattered minor small dents and scratches.
