Pair of Chinese pierce-carved wood panels with gilt birds and flowering tree branches in relief against red painted backgrounds. Mounted together in a modern gilt frame. Overall: 20 1/4" H x 19 3/4" W x 2" D. Likely late 19th century.
CONDITION: Several repaired breaks throughout; one loose 2" piece. Wear and loss to gilt and paint decoration, light surface grime.
