English Regency / William IV Rosewood teapoy or tea caddy on stand. Rectangular hinged lid with bead course molding lifts to reveal 4 covered tea storage containers, surrounding 2 velvet lined center compartments for mixing bowls. One cut glass bowl for mixing dried tea is present. Carved pedestal and plinth base with concave sides and four paw feet, on castors. 18 3/4 in. L x 12 3/8 in. W x 30 1/2 in. H. Circa 1830.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Dr. Ian M. Mathison, Murfreesboro TN and Big Rapids, MI.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Missing key. Glass mixing bowl is cracked. Some slight veneer lifting and cracking to base.
