3 sterling writing related items. 1st item: Victorian sterling silver double inkwell stand with chased Gothic revival decoration and scrolled trifid feet, hallmarked for Martin, Hall & Co, Sheffield, Sterling, 1869-70. All detachable silver elements also marked, including silver capped crystal ink bottles and candlestick. Later silvered wax candle and custom-fitted marble base included. Inkstand 5 1/2" H x 9" W x 7" D. 2nd item: Edwardian sterling silver pen tray, rectangular form with crimped rim and repousse bird and figural mask decoration, hallmarked for London, 1901-1902, William Comyns & Sons Ltd, illegible monogram to center. Inscribed "James Ramsay Dundee" to underside. 9 3/8" W x 1 3/8" D. 3rd item: Small unmarked silver metal pencil, lacking lead, with inset stone or glass shield shaped end. 4 1/2" L.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, TN Collection.
CONDITION: Ink bottles have some minor chipping to base (not visible when inserted in stand), otherwise all items excellent condition.
