Manner of George Chambers (British, 1803-1840), 19th century oil on canvas marine painting, seascape depicting clipper ship at rough sea with other sailing vessels and boats in background, signed indistinctly lower right in white. Housed in an old, but likely not original giltwood Louis XIV frame. Sight – 27" H x 34-3/4" W. Framed – 33-3/8" H x 41-1/4" W. Provenance: Nashville, TN estate. CONDITION: Two repairs on back of canvas, upper center and upper left.
