Mahogany Federal style secretary by Walter Vincent, Athens, TN. Top section with an arched pediment top, ogee cornice, tombstone paneled doors and inlaid kite escutcheon. Lower section comprised of a slant front desk with two drawers over three graduated drawers. Inlaid kite escutcheons and string inlay around drawer fronts, inlaid base molding, shaped skirt, flaring French feet. Maple desk interior with birds eye maple central prospect drawer with diamond inlay paterae. Prospect door flanked by three drawers and lower pigeon holes each side. Mahogany primary and secondary, drawer bottoms pine laminate board. 93-1/4"H x 44-1/4"W x 20-3/4"D. 20th century. Provenance – Estate of Bill Selden, Athens, TN. Condition: Overall very good condition with minor scratches where top rests on lower desk, right drawer front a shade lighter than remaining drawer fronts
