French 'Chinoiserie' bronze-mounted cloisonne enamel jardiniere, in the manner of Ferdinand Barbedienne. The ovoid bowl having a blue enameled ground with Chinese floral, insect and bird decoration surmounted by a Ju-i gilt bronze rim with shaped gilt bronze foo dog and foliate handles and a footed gilt bronze base with lion's head masks. The back of the bronze base marked with the initials "sr" and the number "18". 14 1/8" H x approx. 16" W. Late 19th century. CONDITION: One small area of loss to base of bowl, a couple to the interior bowl base. Scattered minor dings and wear to outer bowl.
