1st and 2nd item: Cream ladle with coffin end handle and Teaspoon with rounded oval handle, both marked MCCOWAT in rectangle for Thomas McCowat, working Leesburg, VA circa 1811-1820; Nashville, TN c. 1820-1835, and Jackson, TN c. 1835-1853+. (Note: the early form suggests these spoons are likely from McCowat''s period working in Virginia or Nashville). 3rd and 4th items: Pair of fiddle handle dessert spoons marked BRITAIN in rectangle, attributed to John S. Britain, working Nashville, 1835-1836 and Maury County circa 1839. 5th item: Fiddle handle teaspoon with incuse mark T. GOWDEY for retailer Thomas Gowdey (b. 1795, working Nashville, 1825-d. 1863). 6th item: Small 18th century teaspoon with basket of flower motif en verso, marked TD or ID in rectangle. Combined weight: 3.91 troy ounces.
