Persian Kashan vase rug, wool on cotton. Large central navy field with a central flowering vase flanked by two smaller flowering vases that join to form an arbor, with a bird and butterfly overhead. Three primary borders including foliate, bird, and butterfly border. Woven in blue, red, salmon, green, and cream colors. 82 in x 51 in. Circa 1930''s.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with minor losses to the fringe on each end. Wood rod and denim hangers attached to top en verso for display.
