Antique Turkman Yomud or Yomut main carpet, wool on wool. Central rust or brick red field with three rows of eleven guls within three borders. Woven in red, blue, and cream colors. 6 ft 4 in x 4 ft 2 in. Last quarter 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition, even pile wear. One small 1/2" separation to center and two old repairs to to one end including L-shaped repair.
