Antique Tekke Chuval Turkoman finely knotted rug, wool on wool, and all-natural dyes. Central field with two rows of four guls on a dark red field within a shaped border having geometric decoration and borders to each end with repeating bird motif. 5 ft. 1 in. x 4 ft. 3 in. Fourth quarter of the 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Private Des Moines, Iowa collection.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition, even pile wear.
