Sterling Strauser (Pennsylvania, 1907-1995) oil on board still-life painting depicting a clear glass vase with multicolored flowers, including hydrangeas, daffodils, and bluebells set against a pale yellow background. The painting is rendered with some impasto and sgraffito linework and is signed and dated ’90, lower right. Housed in a gilt and ebonized wood frame with a linen mat. Sight: 9 3/8 in. H x 7 3/8 in. W. Framed: 13 3/4 in. H x 11 3/4 in. W.
