Chinese carved pale celadon jade and gilt bronze belt buckle, comprised of two parts, each rectangular jade plaque with carved bamboo and flowering tree decoration, joined by a gilt bronze chilong hook and inset into a gilt bronze base having a pierced and carved foliate back. 4 3/4" L. Late 19th/early 20th century. Provenance: Private West Tennessee collection. CONDITION: Overall very good condition with minor wear to bronze mounting.
